Live it! Fund

What is global citizenship? How does it play out in this crazy world? We want to know and we need you to show us! The Institute for Global Citizenship Student Council (IGCSC) Live It! Fund gives students $500 to $10,000 to design a project around their definition of global citizenship, live it out over the summer anywhere in the world, and bring it back to Macalester in the fall. Live It! enables students to:
  • design and live out their own definitions of global citizenship;
  • develop the individuals (or group’s) capacity to enact social change;
  • contribute to the common good;
  • bring your project back to Mac and share your discoveries here.

All First Years though Juniors and welcome to apply, and Seniors can participate in a group project with non-seniors. Projects will be unique and personal and therefore will reflect the creativity and form that you (or your group) think best embodies global citizenship.

Find out more about the fund, past projects and see the application at http://www.macalester.edu/igc/igcstudentcouncil/liveitfund/ or attend our Open Houses on the third floor of the IGC from 5-7 on Wednesday February 1st or Thursday the 2nd. You can also e-mail us with any questions at igcsc@macalester.edu
